Here’s What It’s Like Inside San Francisco's Fanciest Medical Marijuana Stores

Many people would imagine weed stores to be dark, grungy and unappealingly scuzzy. Here, three San Francisco dispensaries that skew way more Banana Republic than back alley.

There's definitely a reason that SPARC is known as the Apple Store of pot shops. The bright and open layout and hi-tech features — like a computerized menu that you can look through before heading to the counters — definitely reminded us of an actual Apple Store. But with weed.

The first time you visit SPARC, you’ll need to register with your valid medical marijuana prescription at the front counter. Staff will give you a membership card that you’ll use in the future to enter the dispensary and make purchases. Like most dispensaries, it's free to join.
